Start out by sketching the basic forms of the head.

Define the head a bit more. Use clean lines. 2B pencils work well for this.

Develop the lines of the top half of the head.

Develop the lines of the side horn.

Develop the jaw.

Develop the neck lines.

Start shading in the same order from top to bottom. A B graphite pencil was used for this step.

Shade in the horn and the back of the neck.
